# Billing and limits

Understand trial restrictions, recipient credits, attachment transfer, and webhook-driven entitlements.

## Integration trial

Unpaid workspaces receive 100 lifetime controlled recipient deliveries and one domain. Recipients must match the account email or an AWS SES simulator address.

## Paid plans

Indie Hackers includes 50,000 recipient deliveries and 25 domains per billing period. Scaleup includes 200,000 deliveries and 100 domains. Marketing variants unlock the marketing message class at the same limits, and annual billing charges 10% off twelve monthly payments while quotas stay metered monthly. Subscription events, not checkout redirects, activate entitlements.

Pay by card, or with crypto: every plan accepts USDC stablecoins at checkout, and Scale Annual can be paid with Monero (XMR) at 1 XMR per year for complete payment privacy, with no card, name, or billing address needed for the payment. Monero-paid workspaces get the same deliverability as card-paid ones: the same AWS SES sending infrastructure, the same sending ladder, and the same rules. See [crypto payments on the pricing page](https://sendhq.cc/pricing.md#pp-crypto).

## Usage accounting

Every To, Cc, and Bcc destination consumes one recipient credit. Usage is reserved before provider submission, committed after acceptance, and released when submission fails safely.

## Attachments

Attachment transfer is measured as stored attachment bytes multiplied by recipient destinations. Inbound messages count their full size toward the same transfer budget, and a single inbound message larger than 10 MB is rejected. Paid plans are capped at 10 GiB per billing period until overage billing is enabled.

## Subscription states

Active and trialing subscriptions receive plan entitlements. Pending, on-hold, paused, cancelled, expired, and failed states do not grant sending access. Upgrading starts a new subscription on the higher plan while an earlier one keeps billing at the payment provider; the newest live subscription always governs quotas, domain limits, and plan type.

## Cancelling

Cancelling takes effect in SendHQ only. The payment provider keeps charging a cancelled subscription until payment is stopped there or at the bank, and if a payment is deducted the subscription resumes automatically. Customer and subscription identifiers are retained for recovery and future checkouts.
