# The most transparent email API

These are the delivery, bounce and complaint numbers for every email sent through SendHQ, across every workspace, updated daily. Nothing is left out to make them look better.

**99.5%** Delivery rate Delivered, out of delivered plus hard bounced.

**0.015%** Spam complaints Reported as spam, out of delivered.

**20,098** Emails delivered Accepted by the recipient’s mail server.

The last 30 days, to Nov 1, 2026. Updated daily. [How we count](https://sendhq.cc/open.md#how-we-count)

The last 12 weeks

## Week by week.

Each bar is seven days. A week with fewer than 100 deliveries shows a flat grey mark on the rate charts instead of a rate. Hover a bar for its value.

### Emails delivered

Accepted by the recipient’s mail server.

### Delivery rate

Delivered, out of delivered plus hard bounced.

### Hard bounces

Permanent bounces, out of delivered plus hard bounced.

Week of Sep 27: 124 of 141 hard bounces came from workspaces SendHQ has since paused.

### Spam complaints

Reported complaints, out of delivered.

Week of Sep 20: 16 of 16 complaints came from workspaces SendHQ has since paused.

The delivery-rate axis starts at 90%, not zero, so small changes are visible.

Method

## How we count.

The numbers come from the delivery, bounce and complaint events mailbox providers send back for each message.

### What’s included

- **Every workspace.** That includes accounts we later paused for abuse. Their bounces and complaints stay in the numbers.
- **Every outbound email** that reached a mailbox provider, including SendHQ’s own product email.
- **The last 30 days** for the headline numbers, and rolling seven-day weeks for the charts. A new snapshot is taken once a day.

### The definitions

- **Delivered:** the recipient’s mail server accepted the message.
- **Delivery rate:** delivered, out of delivered plus hard bounced. Soft bounces are retried, so they count neither way.
- **Spam complaint rate:** complaints reported through mailbox providers’ feedback loops, out of delivered.
- **Rounding:** the delivery rate rounds down and the complaint rate rounds up, never in our favor.

### What we don’t show

- **Open and click rates.** SendHQ doesn’t track opens or clicks, so there’s nothing honest to chart.
- **Inbox placement.** Delivered means the receiving server accepted the email. It doesn’t prove the email reached the inbox rather than spam.
- **Gmail complaints.** Gmail doesn’t report individual complaints, so the real complaint rate is somewhat higher than shown.

### What happens at the lines

Every From address is checked over a rolling seven days. At a 10% hard-bounce rate, or a 0.05% complaint rate, the address is throttled to 500 emails a day. At 3 or more hard bounces in 10 or more sends at 10%, or 2 or more complaints at 0.1%, sending pauses for the whole workspace. The dashboard and API say why, and if you write to [support](https://sendhq.cc/contact.md) we reply within 12 hours. Full rules are on [pricing](https://sendhq.cc/pricing.md#plans).
