# Brevo Reviews 2026: Transactional Email Complaints and Pricing

Brevo reviews in 2026 with a focus on transactional email: support and suspension complaints on Trustpilot, praise for features and value, and pricing as of October 2026.

**Verdict.** Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) is mainly a marketing platform with a transactional API, and its 7,000-plus Trustpilot reviews mostly come from marketing users. In the 60 recent reviews we read (June to September 2026), 29 were one-star and 24 were five-star. The negative reviews focus on suspensions and support; the positive ones on features and value. Transactional-specific evidence is thin, so read this as a general account-trust picture.

We read 60 reviews from [Brevo's Trustpilot page](https://www.trustpilot.com/review/brevo.com) plus its one-star list, and Brevo's transactional email and pricing pages.

SendHQ is a competing email API and is mentioned where it differs. Quotes are copied verbatim from the linked pages and attributed by the display name and month shown there. Reviews are self-selected, we cannot verify individual claims, and a complaint is not a finding about the company.

## What users praise about Brevo

- A September 2026 reviewer wrote that Brevo offers an impressive amount of power and flexibility for the price. Another who moved from SendGrid wrote: this is, by far, a better and easier service to use.
- Brevo's transactional page lists a free plan of 300 emails per day, SDKs in seven languages and batch sending of up to 1,000 emails per API request.

## Brevo complaints: common themes

### Suspension and terminated accounts (at least 8 of 60)

A September 2026 reviewer wrote: my service was suddenly terminated, and I was not given a clear explanation for the reason. A reviewer who says they used Brevo purely for transactional email wrote that after a wave of bot signups they were told the account could not be validated, with no specific explanation. They say they added rate limiting and reCAPTCHA.

Another reviewer, describing a marketing campaign, wrote We never spoke to a single human. In that review an automated check paused a campaign over a bounce rate above Brevo's threshold. We cannot judge individual cases.

### Support quality

A September 2026 two-star review says You get stuck in a loop with a bot. Other reviewers in the same period praised quick, helpful support, so experiences differ.

### Pricing changes

A long-time customer titled an August 2026 review Years of Loyalty Ended by a 10x Price Increase, about moving off a legacy pay-as-you-go arrangement.

## Brevo pricing (as of October 2026)

Brevo's transactional page lists, as of October 2026: a free plan with 300 emails per day (9,000 per month), Starter from $9 per month for 5,000 emails, Standard from $18 per month for 5,000 emails, and Professional from $499 per month for 150,000 emails. Plans and currency vary on the [main pricing page](https://www.brevo.com/pricing/).

## Is Brevo good? Who it fits

- Good fit: teams that want marketing campaigns, CRM and transactional email in one product and value a free tier.
- Look carefully first if: you only need a transactional API and cannot risk an automated compliance hold on a shared marketing-oriented platform.

## Brevo alternatives

- **SendHQ.** An API-focused option (not a marketing suite): $9 per month for 50,000 emails and 25 domains, templates, inboxes and threads for inbound mail, and an MCP server for AI agents. Support comes directly from the founder. See [pricing](https://sendhq.cc/pricing.md).
- **Postmark.** Transactional only, strong deliverability reputation.
- **MailerSend.** Transactional focus with a free tier.
- **Mailgun.** API-first with inbound routing.
