# Resend Reviews 2026: What Users Praise and Complain About

What real users say about Resend in 2026: praise for developer experience, complaints about account suspensions, domain limits, and the global suppression list. Pricing as of October 2026.

**Verdict.** Resend is well liked for how quickly a developer can start sending, and it is criticised mostly on account actions and plan limits. Of the 20 most recent Trustpilot reviews we read, 14 were one-star and 4 were five-star, and the one-star reviews are dominated by suspension stories. Trustpilot is self-selected, so treat that as a signal about what unhappy users write, not a measure of all users.

We read the [Resend Trustpilot page](https://www.trustpilot.com/review/resend.com) (21 reviews listed, 20 readable, March 2024 to August 2026), a migration write-up, a GitHub issue, Resend's own incident report and Resend's pricing page.

SendHQ is a competing email API and is mentioned where it differs. Quotes are copied verbatim from the linked pages and attributed by the display name and month shown there. Reviews are self-selected, we cannot verify individual claims, and a complaint is not a finding about the company.

## What users praise about Resend

- Setup speed is the recurring compliment. A reviewer wrote in January 2026: super easy to implement, all verifications went smooth and quick. Another, in August 2026, called it simple, easy to use, and works for my needs, even on the free tier.
- One August 2026 reviewer who had read the negative reviews pushed back: they have been really kind, fair, straight and easy to deal with. Four of the 20 reviews we read were five-star, mostly about ease of integration.
- Resend's published incident report for 15 February 2026 describes a 3 hour 31 minute incident with roughly two-hour sending delays and states No emails were lost during this incident. Publishing a post-mortem is a point in its favour.

## Resend complaints: common themes

### Account suspensions after signup or payment (11 of 20 reviews)

Eleven of the 20 reviews we read, all dated February to August 2026, describe an account being suspended or blocked. A reviewer wrote in August 2026: Paid for a subscription and they suspended account with final decision in 2 days. Another wrote in April 2026: Banned my paid account with no reason and no notifications. A third, in July 2026, said they banned my account after a few days of using it.

A March 2026 reviewer described the support side: Their 'support' is non-existent when you actually need a human to review a technical edge case. These are individual accounts and we cannot see the other side of each case. Any provider that protects shared sending reputation will suspend some accounts, and some of these senders may have tripped abuse signals. What recurs is the complaint about communication and appeal, not only the suspension.

### A shared suppression list that skips delivery (1 detailed write-up)

In a February 2026 post about moving to Postmark, the developer of Anukari wrote that Resend's global suppression list was silently eating my customers' license key emails. It was discussed on [Hacker News](https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=47161128). This is one developer's experience, but it is a concrete design question to ask any provider: is the suppression list per account or shared, and how do you see what was skipped?

### Domain and daily limits

A June 2026 reviewer on the Pro plan wrote The 10 domain limit on Pro does not make sense, explaining that the next step up jumps to the $90 Scale plan. Resend does sell a 100-domain add-on for $20 per month as of October 2026. The Free plan has a 100 emails per day cap and 3 domains.

### SDK and reliability notes

A GitHub issue opened on 28 September 2026 in the Node SDK repository reports that If the TCP connection to the API stalls (accepted, but no response), the returned promise never settles. It was open when we read it.

## Resend pricing (as of October 2026)

Resend's [pricing page](https://resend.com/pricing) lists, as of October 2026: Free at $0 with 3,000 emails per month, a 100 per day cap and 3 domains; Pro at $20 per month for 50,000 emails with 10 domains and overage at $0.90 per 1,000; Scale at $90 per month for 100,000 emails with 1,000 domains. Data retention is 30 days on Free, Pro and Scale. Inbound email and an SMTP relay are listed as features.

## Is Resend good? Who it fits

- Good fit: teams that value a polished developer experience, use React Email, and send moderate volume from a handful of domains.
- Look carefully first if: you manage many small sites or customer domains on one plan, you need a fast human appeal path if an account is paused, or you want to inspect and control suppression behaviour per account.

## Resend alternatives

- **SendHQ.** A Resend-compatible sending API (swap the base URL and API key) that runs on Amazon SES. It includes 25 domains on the $9 per month plan (50,000 emails) and 100 domains on $39 per month (200,000 emails). It also offers real inboxes and threads per address and an MCP server so AI agents can send and read email. Support comes directly from the founder. See [pricing](https://sendhq.cc/pricing.md).
- **Postmark.** Strong deliverability reputation and per-account suppression, with slower manual approval according to some reviewers.
- **Amazon SES directly.** The lowest unit price, with the most setup work.
- **Mailgun.** Mature API with inbound routing and 1,000 domains on its $35 Foundation plan.

## Resend FAQ

**Is Resend good?**

Many developers like Resend for its fast setup and clean API. The most common complaints in recent Trustpilot reviews are account suspensions with limited explanation and plan limits such as 10 domains on Pro. Trustpilot reviews are self-selected, so test with your own use case.

**What are the most common Resend complaints?**

In the 20 Trustpilot reviews we read, 11 described suspended or blocked accounts. Others mentioned the 10-domain Pro limit, a global suppression list, and slow support when a human was needed.

**Does Resend have an SMTP relay and inbound email?**

Resend's pricing page lists both an SMTP relay and inbound emails as of October 2026. Check the current docs for limits.

**What are good Resend alternatives?**

Postmark, Amazon SES, Mailgun and SendHQ are common choices. SendHQ offers a Resend-compatible API, so migration can be a base URL and key change for basic sends.
